Meet Our Pastor
Pastor John W. Leonard
Pastor John W. Leonard received B.A. degree in Bible in 1989 from International Baptist College in Tempe, Arizona (now located in Chandler, Arizona), and his M.A. degree in Pastoral Studies in 1992 from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. He was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in June of 1990 at Heart to Heart Bible Church, in Phoenix, Arizona, by the church and its longtime former Pastor, Dr. Arnold Hickok (now with the Lord).
Rev. Leonard's first pastorate was as Associate Pastor of Valley Bible Church in Phoenix for nearly 2 years, then as Senior Pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Yuma, Arizona, for nearly 10 years. He became the Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sahuarita, Arizona, in May of 2005.
He and his wife, Leslie, met in Bible college and were married in Phoenix in 1988. Their daughter, Natalie Rose, was born in Yuma in July of 2003.
